The most energy-efficient public building in Moldova was inaugurated on Friday, June 16, in Calarasi town. DoReMicii kindergarten has been designed and built according to German energy efficiency standards with financial support and technical assistance from the Federal Republic of Germany provided through the KfW Development Bank within the Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency Project implemented by the Moldova Social Investment Fund.
The event was attended by Pavel Filip, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ulrike Knotz, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Moldova, Lutz Horn-Haacke, KfW Regional Director for Ukraine and Moldova, Mircea Esanu, the Executive Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, Ludwig Rongen , the architect of the kindergarten, Nicolae Melnic, the Mayor of Calarasi town, parents and children attending the kindergarten.
