The "Moldova Education Reform Project" provides real support for the construction of a new building at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat. The share of local authorities in the amount of 5.6 million lei will be covered from the account of the "Moldova Education Reform Project". The decision in this regard was taken today, May 18, within the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
„The Theoretical lyceum „Mihai Eminescu” is the only one with studing in Romanian language in Comrat municipality. We will create optimal conditions for the development of the educational process by capitalizing on the non-reimbursable aid granted by Romania, so that the school becomes spacious, modern, attractive for the growing generation. We decided that 5.6 million lei, which were to be paid from the autonomy budget, will be covered from the account of the “Moldova Education Reform Project”. The decision was also agreed by our partners, the World Bank, which finances this Project", Igor Sharov, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, said.
It is necessary to mention that financial means will be allocated to PI MSIF at the rectification stage of the State Budget Law 2020. In order not to delay the start of construction works, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will send a letter of guarantee to ensure the coverage of the local public authority within the sub-project "Construction works of the study section at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat municipality, ATU Gagauzia".
The construction of the study section will be possible thanks to the sub-project “Construction works of the study section at the Theoretical Lyceum “Mihai Eminescu” in Comrat municipality, ATU Gagauzia”, financed within the Technical and Financial Assistance Program granted by the Romanian Government, according to Decisions of Government no. 436/2014 and no. 487/2019.
