During the visit to Telenesti rayon, the Head of State went to the "Mihai Eminescu" gymnasium, which was founded in 1973. Currently, the institution has 45 teachers who educate 646 schoolchildren in 24 classes.

The President became acquainted with the progress of the repair works at the gymnasium, which is in the process of capital repair within the "Moldova Education Reform". National Project. Works started in August, 2018 and their total cost is 13.2 million lei.

Igor Dodon welcomed the fact that civil works have been carried out according to the design and within the established terms, and on September 1, the educational institution will be reopened so that schoolchildren can study in much better conditions than before and will meet the requirements of the pandemic.

The President thanked schoolteachers for their hard work in educating the young generation and assured them that the leadership of the Republic of Moldova will continue to provide support and pay attention to the development of the educational system and educational institutions in the country.
