In order to monitor the implementation schedule of the subproject, today, June 16, 2020, the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" visited the construction site of the " Alexandru Agapie " Theoretical Lyceum in Pepeni village, Singerei rayon.
The Institution is in the process of renovation within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by PI MSIF.
It was found during the visit that civil works at site are carried out according to the schedule and in complience with the protection measures against spreading of COVID-19 virus.By the beginning of the new school year, renovation of the building will be completed, that will allow pupils and teachers to carry out the teaching process in new quality conditions.
Currently, the following civil works are being carried out at the site within the Project: replacement of the roof, replacement of carpentry, interior repair works (walls, ceilings, floors, bathroom units), installation of internal water supply and sewerage systems, installation of the heating system, exterior works (window sills, cornices, wall, socle), construction of the boiler house and external networks of the heating system, construction of the treatment plant, installation of electrical networks and electrical equipment, landscaping of the adjacent territory.
The cost of executed civil works is - 10 611 614, 72 lei.

In total, within the A.2 component of the "Moldova Education Reform Project" financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund" 17 constituency educational institutions will be renovated.Currently, civil works have been finalized in 4 out of the total number of subprojects, 11 educational institutions are at the stage of renovation, 1 institution - at the stage of evaluation of tender results and 1 institution - in the process of preparing the estimate . By the beginning of a new schoolyear, the renovation process will be completed in 8 general schools.
