Activities carried out during the renovation process include the reconstruction of the main building of the "Petru Rareș" lyceum in Soroca. Civil works are executed through MSIF.

"The key objectives of the reconstruction of the Lyceum are related to the total renovation of the main study section, replacement of roofs of all sections, replacement of the equipment in the heat supply sub-station, thermal insulation of all sections of the Lyceum, partially will be replaced joinery items. The reconstruction period is estimated at 13 months. As part of the "Education Reform in Moldova" Project, the Public Institution “Moldova Social Investment Fund” implements renovation works at 17 regional schools in the Republic of Moldova," said Sergiu Niculita, Deputy Director of the MSIF.

12 million 600 thousand lei were allocated for the renovation of the institution. 11 million 700 thousand lei are financial resources allocated within the “Reform of Education in Moldova” Project, financed by the World Bank. The Rayon Council of Soroca participates in the renovation of the lyceum with a contribution of 900 thousand lei.
