
On Friday, October 6, 2017, the the inauguration of the kindergarten in the Budesti village, Chisinau municipality,took place, which was renovated for money from the grant provided by the Romanian Government and administered by the Moldova Social Investment Fund.
The kindergarten benefited from works worth more than 1.5 million lei, 1.2 million lei of this amount were received from the Romanian grant, and the rest of the amount is the contribution of the locality. The thermal insulation of the kindergarten in Budesti village, the replacement of the electricity system and the renovation of pavilions were carried aut for these funds.

The event was attended by the President of the Joint Commission for European Integration between the Parliament of Romania and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Bogdan Rodeanu, the Romanian Ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ionita, the Executive Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, Mircea Esanu, the Mayor of Budesti village, Nina Costiuc.

Bogdan Rodeanu, the Member of the Romanian Parliament, reiterated the support of the Romanian state for the Republic of Moldova and said: "Education is one of the priorities of both states the Moldovan and the Romanian. The future belongs to those, who we teach today. That is why we have to invest in our children, we must invest in improving access to education and social assistance that will help them grow up and become worthy people."

Daniel Ioniţă, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, said: "By all that we do here, we want to contribute to improving lives of Moldovan citizens. I think it is important to pay attention to the future, to have educated children, and satisfied inhabitants of this beautiful village." At the same time, the Ambassador spoke about the important role of the Moldova Social Investment Fund in implementation of the Project."
Mircea Esanu, the Executive Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, said: "It is a great honor and responsibility for us to manage the money of Romanian taxpayers, which are destined for kindergartens in our country. For the Social Investment Fund in Moldova, it is important that all work is done on a qualitative and timely basis. "

Kindergarten no. 1 "Viorel and Viorica" in Budesti village has been functioning since 1990. The preschool institution has 7 groups, which are attended by 218 children aged between 3 and 7 years. In addition the Center for children with disabilities is opened in the kindergarten since 2001.
Information about project
The Government of Romania has allocated 26 million euros for the renovation and equipping of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova through the " Program of Technical and Financial Assistance granted by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions of the Republic of Moldova". 933 kindergartens from Moldova benefited from these funds.
The grant provided by the Government of Romania is managed by the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF).
MSIF is an institution created 20 years ago with the support of the World Bank and donor countries in order to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by managing the external assistance.
