Inauguration of the kindergarten in the Gura Galbenei village, which was reopened after 24 years, thanks to financial support from Romania

The Romanian Ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ionita, together with the Executive Manager of the MSIF, Mircea Eşanu, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, attended at the inauguration of the "Guguţă" kindergarten in the Gura Galbenei village of the Cimislia rayon, renovated with the funds allocated by the Government of Romania.

 

The event was attended by the Primar of the Gura Galbenei, Victor Stînă, the MP, Iurie Leanca, the Chairman of the Cimislia rayon, Mihai Olărescu, a representative of the Government, parents, children and employees of the preschool institution.

 

 

The kindergarten "Guguţă" in  Gura Galbenei village has been opened in 1982 and after 10 years of activity was closed because of lack of funds for major repairs. With the support from the Romanian Government, after 24 years the Block A of the preschool institution has undergone major repair works and was reopened. Now the preschool institution is attended by 72 aged between 3 and 7 years. 

 

 

Daniel Ionita, Romanian Ambassador said: "Seeing the joy on children's faces,  seeing them being glad and  playing, I realize that the investment of the Romanian Government is one that was worth doing, because, in fact, it is an investment in the future. We are convinced that the allocated money will bear fruit, and if your children are happy, then you, parents, are happy too. I have only words of gratitude to those who made this project possible, to colleagues from the MSIF, to Mr. Mircea Eşanu, to central and local public  authorities ".

 

 

 

3.8 million lei have been allocated for renovations in the kindergarten, for which the roof  of the whole building was rebuilt, new windows and doors were installed, the new heating system was installed, and bathroom units were arranged, the water supply and sewer system was rebuilt, walls were renovated, and the kitchen and laundry room were equipped with all necessary things.

 

 

In its turn, Mircea Esanu, the Executive Manager of  the MSIF, thanked the Romanian Government for financial support provided for the modernization of preschool institutions in Moldova.

 

 

"The next step plan to renovate the interior and one block of of the kindergarten, which will include three groups of children. Initial investments are high, because I set the start normal functioning of the entire kindergarten - water supply system, heating system, the boiler is completely new kitchen equipment etc. The most important works have already been carried out. An amount two or three times more than we can reopen and the other block so that all children in Gura Galbenei benefit from jobs and conditions could not be better at the kindergarten, "Mircea Eşanu, the Executive Manager of the MSIF, said.

 

The Primar of the Gura Galbenei village, Victor Stînă, expressed words of gratitude both the Ambassador and the Moldova Social Investment Fund for the contribution they have made to renovation of the kindergarten in the village. "Today an extraordinary event takes place in our community, which I have been waiting for more than two decades. Today the dream of all parents of all generations has come true, thanks to aid from the Romanian Government."

 

 

Information about the Project

 

The Romanian Government has allocated 26 million euro for the renovation and equipment of kindergartens in Moldova through the “Program of technical and financial assistance granted by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova”.

 

832 preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova have been renovated for money from the grant offered by Romania. Beneficiaries of the program are more than 200 thousand people - children, parents and teachers. Financial resources provided by the Romanian Government are used for the following purposes: capital repairs of buildings, replacement of roof, heating systems, electrical networks, arrangement of playgrounds, replacement of windows and doors, thermal insulation of exterior walls, construction of water supply and sewerage systems for kindergartens, installation of sanitary fittings, procurement of equipment, furniture, etc.

 

Moldova Social Investment Fund was created with the support of the World Bank and other donor countries aimed to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova through the external assistance management.
