The kindergarten was renovated within the frame of the "Program of technical and financial assistance granted by the Romanian Government for the renovation of preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova", in this regard, 4.1 million lei has been allocated. The capacity of the kindergarten from the Satul Nou village is 120 children. Currently it is attended by 77 preschool children aged between 2 and 7 years.

According to the director of the kindergarten, Bumbu Nina: "Before the renovation, the building was in a deplorable condition, damaged ceiling and uneven walls. Children used to feel cold during the cold season as exterior walls were not thermally insulated. "

After cutting the inaugural ribbon, Marius Lazurca, the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, said: "I am glad that in Cimislia rayon a new kindergarten was inaugurated with the support of the Romanian Government, a modern one, equipped with everything necessary for a good education of children. Today's event is full of joy that is expressed by local authorities, children and parents, which I will be glad to pass, as a gesture of gratitude, to the authorities in Bucharest, intending to continue this program in coming years. Our intention is that all kindergartens in Moldova, in the medium term, to look like the one in Satul Nou village."

"The amount of 4.1 million lei has been invested in order to repair the kindergarten in the Satul Nou village, Cimişlia rayon. The roof has been fully renovated, the exterior walls have been thermoinsulated for these money. Also, repairs have been carried out indoors, new furniture has been bought and a playground has been arranged. In a short time we will open at least one more group. The primaria will also open a nursery group for preliminary investments that have been made," Mircea Eşanu, the Executive Manager of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, said.

For the same financial resources, provided through the MSIF, furniture has been bought, swings and slides have been installed at the playground, and the yard of the kindergarten has been paved.
"The Program of Technical and Financial Assistance granted by the Government of Romania for the renovation of preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova" was launched during Leanca Government, in 2013. "I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the conditions, in which today children study and teachers activate. I appreciate the fact that the modernization and europeanization of kindergartens in Moldovan settlements is brought by our friends from Romania," Iurie Leanca said, the deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, present at the event.

In a sign of gratitude, that now they have an opportunity to attend a kindergarten, offering good conditions at European standards, children provided a show, where they recited poems, sang songs and danced.

The Government of Romania has allocated 20 million euros through the "Program of Technical and Financial Assistance granted by the Government of Romania for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova" and 3 million euros through the "Enhancing children's access and the level of participation in early childhood education in the Republic of Moldova" Project for the renovation and equipping of kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova.
Over 800 preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova have been renovated for the grant provided by Romania. More than 200 thousand people - children, parents and teachers are the beneficiaries of the Program.
The financial resources provided by the Government of Romania are used for: capital repairs of buildings, replacement of the roof, heating systems, electrical networks, arrangement of playgrounds, replacement of windows and doors, thermal insulation of exterior walls, construction of water supply and sewage systems of kindergartens, arrangement of toilets and washrooms, procurement of equipment, furniture, etc.
The MSIF is an institution, created with the support of the World Bank and donor countries with the aim to contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova by the management of the external assistance.
