The team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" made a monitoring visit to the construction site of the Theoretical Lyceum "Andrei Vartic" in Ialoveni town.
The institution is in the process of capital renovation within the "Moldova Education Reform Project" financed by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by PI MSIF. At the moment, 35% of the total volume of civil works are executed.
The following works are carried out within the project:
- Replacement of the roof (section A-1)
- Reconstruction of the roof (section -A)
- Replacement of joinery (section A)
- Interior works (section A)
- Exterior works (section A)
- Replacement of heating and ventilation systems
- Replacement of boiler room equipment
- Replacement of internal water supply and sewerage networks (section A)
- Replacement of indoor electrical network and electrical equipment (section A)
- Installation of fire and burglar alarm systems (section A)
- Replacement of low voltage network (section A)
- Replacement of external water supply and sewerage networks.
The total cost of civil works is 11 173 824,13 lei.
Contract period: 28/11/2019 - 30/06/2020

In total, within the A.2 component of the "Moldova Education Reform Project" financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund" 17 general educational institutions will be renovated, and the investment for each lyceum will amount to 700 thousand US dollars. At the moment, out of the total number of subprojects in 4 institutions civil works are finalized, in 11 – in the process of implementation, 1 institution – at the tender stage and 1 institution - in the process of elaboration of the technical design. By the beginning of the new shoolyear, the renovation process in six general schools will be completed.
