MONITORING VISIT TO THE “MIHAI EMINESCU” GYMNASIUM IN TELENESTI TOWN

 

The process of renovation of general schools within Component A.2 of the “Moldova Education Reform Project” financed by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by the Public Institution “Moldovan Social Investment Fund” continues in a special routine in the context of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

 

In order to monitor the implementation schedule of the subproject, today, June 16, 2020, the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" visited the construction site of the "Mihai Eminescu" Gymnasium in Telenesti town. We note that , renovation works in this institution were resumed in March.

 

Currently, the following types of civil works are being carried out at the gymnasium site: finalizing works on the roof replacement, finishing works on the exterior and interior of sections B1, B2, G: replacemnt of floors, of carpentry, electrical networks and equipment, external electrical networks, heating and ventilation systems, external and internal water supply and sewerage networks, external heating networks, school landscaping works.

 

 

The cost of executed civil works is – 3 813 838,43 lei.

 

 

Contract period21.02.2020 – 21.10.2020.

 

The Contractor - S.C. „IMVOCOM-PRIM” S.R.L.

 

Currently, PI MSIF monitors the development of renovation works carried out in compliance with health and epidemiological norms in 11 educational institutions benefiting from investments, in 4 institutions works have been finalized, 1 institution - at the stage of evaluation of tender results and 1 institution - in the process of preparing the estimate . By the beginning of a new schoolyear, the renovation process in 8 constituency schools will be completed.

 

In total, within the A.2 component of the "Moldova Education Reform Project" financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund" 17 general educational institutions will be renovated, and the investment for each lyceum will amount to 700 thousand US dollars.
