In order to monitor the implementation schedule of the subproject, today, June 160, 2020, the team of the Public Institution "Moldova Social Investment Fund" visited the construction site of the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical Lyceum in Straseni town.
The Institution is in the process of renovation within the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by PI MSIF.
It was found during the visit that civil works at site are carried out according to the schedule and in complience with the protection measures against spreading of COVID-19 virus.By the beginning of the new school year, renovation of the building will be completed, that will allow pupils and teachers to carry out the teaching process in new quality conditions.
The following civil works are being carried out within the Project:
- replacement of the roof in sections *C* and C1;
- replacement of the roof in sections D and *D1;
- replacement of the roof in sections A and A1;
- replacement of joinery in sections C-C1; D-D1;
- interior repair works in premises in sections C-C1; D-D1;
- eхterior repair works in sections C1; D-D1;
- installation of the heating system in sections A;*C*;*D*, and in galleries C and D;
- installation of the boiler house equipment;
- installation of the internal network of water supply and sewerage systems;
- replacement of the ventilation system in sections C and D;
- replacement of the lectric wiring in sections C and D;
- installation of the fire alarm system in sections C and D;
- installation of the automation system;
- of the eхternal network of water supply and sewerage systems;
- construction of the electrical network OHL 0.4 kW
- arrangement of the adjacent territory;
- construction of the fence.
The cost of executed civil works is - 10 527 725, 10 lei.
Contract period : 20.09.2019 – 30.06.2020

In total, within the A.2 component of the "Moldova Education Reform Project" financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund" 17 general educational institutions will be renovated.Currently, civil works have been finalized in 4 out of the total number of subprojects, 11 educational institutions are at the stage of renovation, 1 institution - at the stage of evaluation of tender results and 1 institution - in the process of preparing the estimate . By the beginning of a new schoolyear, the renovation process will be completed in 8 general schools.
