A NEW STAGE OF THE “CIVIL WORKS AT ”ALECU RUSSO” THEORETICAL LYCEUM” SUB-PROJECT IN COJUȘNA VILLAGE, STRĂȘENI RAYON

 

The Executive Committee of the Public Institution “Moldova Social Investment Fund” (PI MSIF), during the meeting of July 3, 2020, approved the financing of the “Civil works at the “Alecu Russo” Theoretical Lyceum” sub-project in Cojusna village, Straseni rayon, and the Investment Agreement has been concluded between Beneficiaries of the sub-project and the PI MSIF.

 

The sub-project is financed based on Law no. 129 of July 7, 2017 on the ratification of Amendment No. 2 to the Financing Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association (World Bank) under the "Moldova Education Reform" Project,managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by the PI "Moldova Social Investments Fund”.

 

The following persons took part in the meeting on behalf of beneficiaries:

 

- Craciun Igor - the Mayor of Cojușna village, Straseni rayon;

 

- Iulia Certan – the Head of the Education Department of the Straseni rayon Council;

 

- Donoaga Daniela – the Director of "Alecu Russo" Theoretical Lyceum;

 

- Griciuc Larisa – the member of the Implementation Agency, lyceum teacher;

 

- Ciorbă Dorina - the representative of the Parents' Council from “Alecu Russo” Theoretical Lyceum;

 

- members of the Executive Committee of the PI "MSIF".

 

The discussions focused on volumes of works included in the estimatedocuments of the subproject, which have been argued for their prioritization and the necessity of their execution in order to obtain the basic result of the Project – creation of quality teaching/learning conditions for pupils and teachers. In this context, Cojușna Village Hall assumed the responsibility of ensuring the institution's access to water supply by drilling the water borewell paid from local financial sources.

 

The estimated cost of civil works is 13,757,265.16 lei and it includes:

 

- the replacement of joinery (doors, windows),

 

- Interior repiars (walls, floor, ceilings),

 

- Exterior repiars (access ramp, porches, awnings, socle finishing),

 

- Landscaping (pavement, fence),

 

- Replacement of the electrical network,

 

- Construction of internal and external water supply and sewerage networks

 

- Construction of the forced ventilation system,

 

- Installation of automatic fire and security alarm systems

 

- Installation of low voltage networks (video surveillance network, computer network, ringer),

 

- Construction and installation of hot water production system, including automation of thermal installations,

 

- Construction of the external thermal power plant with engineering networks and technological equipment,

 

- Construction of external  heating networks,

 

- Construction of gas networks (internal and external).

 

Currently, the PI MSIF monitors the development of renovation works, carried out in compliance with health and epidemiological norms, in 11 educational institutions benefiting from investments; civil works have been commissioned in 4 of them, 1 institution is at the stage of bids evaluation and 1 institution is at the stage of estimate development. By the beginning of a new schoolyear, the renovation process in 8 district schools will be completed.
