On February 18, 2020, the official inauguration event of the sub-project "Pavement of access ways and construction of a portion of street lighting" took place in the Singerei town.

The event was attended by:

• His Excellency, German Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Angela Ganninger,

• The representative of the German KFW Bank in Moldova, Sergiu Guțu,

• Mayor of Singerei town, Covaliov Arcadie,

• PI MSIF Director, Iurie Chiorescu,

• The director of the construction company CONSTANTFORJ S.R.L., Hodirca Constantin,

• Inhabitants of Singerei town.

The sub-project " Pavement of access ways and construction of a portion of street lighting" was funded by the German Development Bank "Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau" (KfW) under the "Social infrastructure and energy efficiency" Program, Phase II, in the context of German Financial Cooperation with the Republic of Moldova and implemented with the technical assistance of the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund”.

Within the subproject 4,734 m2 of pedestrian access ways were paved and 5 343 r.m. of kerb stones on Independence Street. The street lighting system was rebuilt and modernized: 25 pillars were replaced and about 150 LED luminaires were installed.

Following the implementation of the sub-project, the access of the population to several objects of social purpose was improved: the Rayon Council, the Town Hall, high schools, kindergartens, the leisure park and other public institutions.

Contribution of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany:

2 153 678 MDL / 110 632 EUR

Local contribution: 1 272 431 MDL / 65 363 EUR
