THE ONLINE ROUNDTABLE WITHIN THE COMPONENT A.2 OF THE "MOLDOVA EDUCATION REFORM" PROJECT

 

On March 11, 2021, the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund" in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research organized an online meeting within the component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project funded by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented by MSIF.

 

The event was attended by: Anatolie Topala, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Sergiu Harea, the Project coordinator, the PI MSIF leadership, mayors of localities, directors of educational institutions beneficiaries of the Project, representatives of construction companies and technical managers.

 

In their speeches, beneficiaries and partners of the Project, participants in the event, mentioned successes achieved in the implementation of subprojects. They discussed various issues, such as the schedule of works, quality and volume of works performed, challenges that arise in the course of work. Representatives of construction companies presented information about the percentage of volume of works completed at sites, emphasizing that works are carried out according to the schedule and in compliance with health and epidemiological rules in the context of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

 

Also, aspects of the Environmental Management Plan in the process of renovation of educational institutions, implemented under the supervision of the PI MSIF within the Project, were approached during presentations

 

Note: 

 

The "Moldova Education Reform" Project is a specific investment loan, granted by the World Bank, implemented from April 2013 till April 2022, which supports the Government of the Republic of Moldova by financing activities that will strengthen the quality of education and lead to a more efficient education sector.

 

In total, 17 district educational institutions will be renovated within the A.2 Component of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund". Currently, PI MSIF monitors the development of renovation works performed in 5 educational institutions benefiting from investments, which will be commissioned before the beginning of the new schoolyear.
