Between December 15-16, 6 documentation visits took place during the World Bank's online monitoring mission assisted by the physical presence at the site by the IP FISM team at the following educational institutions:

1. “S. Holban” TL in Cărpineni village, Hincesti rayon

2. “Stefan Voda” TL in Stefan Voda town

3. “M. Eminescu” TL in Anenii Noi town

4. “A. Doljnenco” TL in Vulcanesti town

5. “V. Alecsandri” TL in Colibas village, Cahul rayon

6. “M. Eminescu” TL in Cimislia town

During site visits the volume of renovation works carried out has been assessed, which are financed under the Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project funded by the World Bank, managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and implemented with the technical assistance of PI "Moldova Social Investments Fund".

Mayors of localities, directors of the lyceums, technical managers and representatives of construction companies took part in discussions from the side of Project beneficiaries. Representatives of the World Bank and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research participated in meetings with beneficiaries via video conference.

The discussions were focused on aspects related to the quality of work performed by contractors, compliance with the Environmental Management plan, to ensuring the impact of implemented projects on the community, benefits and perspectives of the Project development with a scope of ensuring the sustainability of obtained results.

In total, 17 district educational institutions will be renovated within the Component A.2 of the "Moldova Education Reform" Project financed by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, through the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund". At the moment 10 projects are finalized, and 7 are at different stages of the renovation process.
