Implementation of the "Works on construction of the study section at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comratminicipality, ATU Gagauzia" subproject, funded under the Technical and Financial Assistance Program provided by the Government of Romania, community contribution to the implementation of the subproject, commencement of civil works at the new study section, these and other topics have been addressed during the working visit conducted on May 19 by Iurie Chiorescu, Director of the PI "Moldova Social Investment Fund", and Igor Sharov, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat.
The meeting was attended by the Bashkan ATUGagauzia, Irina Vlah, the Vice President of the Executive Committee on Social Affairs, Olesea Tanasoglo, the Mayor of Comrat municipality, Serghei Anastasov, the Director of Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat, Svetlana Stoianov, teachers and others.
„Ensuring the access of all students to quality studies is a desideratum of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and only by consolidation of joint efforts we will be able to capitalize the non-reimbursable assistance offered by Romania. The 5.6 million lei, which had to be paid from the autonomy budget, will be covered from the account of the “Education Reform in Moldova” Project, and in order not to delay the commencement of civil works, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will send immediately a letter of guarantee regarding the coverage of the contribution of the local public authority to PI MSIF, so that civil works to start as soon as possible,” Igor Sharov, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, said.
We mention that the construction of the study section will be possible thanks to the "Works on construction of the study section at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat municipality, ATU Gagauzia" subproject, financed under the Technical and Financial Assistance Program provided by the Romanian Government, according to Decisions of the Government of the Republic of Moldova no. 436/2014 and no. 487/2019.
On April 23, 2020, within the "Works on construction of the study section at the Theoretical Lyceum "Mihai Eminescu" in Comrat municipality, ATU Gagauzia" subproject the Grant Agreement no. IFB-F-11739-RO between the Public Institution “Moldova Social Investment Fund” and the beneficiaries of the sub-project - Comrat City Hall, represented by the Mayor, Mr. Serghei Anastasov, and the Sub-project Implemention Agency represented by Mrs. Svetlana Stoianov, the Director of the lyceum, has been signed
The cost of civil works is 20 051 381, 08 lei and includes the civil works on the new study section that will contribute the access improve for children in the region to study in Romanian.
