
At the invitation of the local public authorities, the Romanian Ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ioniţă, accompanied by MSIF Executive Director, Mircea Esanu, made a working visit to the kindergarten in Dubăsarii Vechi village (Criuleni rayon), renovated within "The Program of technical and financial assistance provided by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova ".

The old kindergarten in Dubasarii Vechi village was organized in 1965 within Nicolae Donici's mansion, built in the XIX century. However, the kindergarten space did not permit institutionalization of all preschool children in the locality. Thus, in 2014, the Town hall of Dubăsarii Vechi village addressed to MSIF with the request to execute certain volume of civil works to repair an adjacent building and adapt it for needs of the educational institution.

Works on project started in January 2017. During the implementation of this sub-project for money from the RO source the roof has been replaced, the building has been thermo-insulated, the ventilation, heating, water supply and sewerage systems have been built and installed, new doors and windows have been replaced and installed, interna and external civil works have been cariied out. The kindergarten has been furnished with furniture and the courtyard of the institution has been paved.



The total cost of civil works at the Romaniţa kindergarten in Dubăsarii vechi village is MDL 1 252 336, MDL 1 013 838 of which have been allocated within "The Program of technical and financial assistance provided by the Romanian Government for preschool institutions in the Republic of Moldova"; the community’s contribution was MDL 238,498.

As a result of the project implementation, two new groups have been opened, with a capacity of about 50 children. At present, the kindergarten is attended by 283 children. All children in Dubasarii Vechi village, aged 3 years, are institutionalized.

On the eve of Winter Holidays, children from the kindergarten in Dubăsarii Vechi village received a Christmas tree as a gift from the Embassy of Romania to Moldova, which they decorated together with the Ambassador, Daniel Ionita.
