Moldova Social Investment Fund inaugurated kindergarten in the Balatina village, Glodeni rayon, renovated from funds allocated Governments of Romania and Germany

The Romanian Ambassador to Chisinau, Daniel Ionita, together with the Executive Manager of the Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF), Mircea Esanu, attended the inauguration of the nursery-kindergarten no 2. In Balatina village, Glodeni rayon.

The "Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency" Project. The grant provided by KfW

The MSIF manages the "Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency" Project based on a grant worth 5 million euros provided by KfW (German state bank "Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau").

 

The Project involves implementation of certain investments in the social infrastructure of settlements in the Republic of Moldova (aqueducts and sewage systems, schools, kindergartens, roads, etc.) with emphasis on energy efficiency and the use of alternative energy sources.

The construction of the most energy efficient kindergarten in Moldova has started in Calarasi

Today, on April 6, 2016, in the Calarasi town, the construction site for the construction of the kindergarten according to German standards of energy efficiency was inaugurated.

The event was attended by Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, the Ambassador of Germany, Ulrike Knotz, the Executive Manager of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, Mircea Eşanu, the Director of Energy Efficiency Agency, Michael Stratan, and by representatives of local public authorities.

MSIF’s activity has been verified by an international auditing company

During the period between  February 22 and  March 12, 2016 an international auditing company verified the financial activity of the Moldova Social Investment Fund for the entire period of its operation.

 

The audit was conducted by the international "SOS-Audit LTD" company, selected from the list of companies, recommended by the World Bank to verify the way projects are managed, which the institution finances.

Moldova Social Investment Fund launches construction of a kindergarten after the German passive house standard

The first public institution in Moldova, which will be built according to the German Passive House Standard, will be a kindergarten. The kindergarten, with a capacity of enrollment of about 100 children, will be put into operation in the spring of 2017 in the city of Calarasi. Kindergarten will have an area of 1100 square meters and its maintenance - heating, ventilation, water cooling and lighting will be comparable to an apartment with 3 rooms, i.e. the bill will not exceed on average 2,000 lei per month .

An Adult Day Care Center was opened, being reconstructed with the support of MSIF and KfW

Friday, November 20, 2015, in the village of Mihaileni, raion Riscani an Adult Day Care Center was inaugurated, the institution was rehabilitated under the "Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency" project, implemented by the Moldova Social Investment Fund with the support of German KfW bank.

 

The event was attended by the Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Family, Mircea Buga, the Head of Community Development and MSIF Programs Management Department, Tatiana Socolov and community members.

KfW offers additional 2 million euros for the development of social infrastructure in Moldova

On October 6, Mircea Eşanu, the MSIF Executive Manager, had a meeting with Lutz Horn-Haacke, the new Regional Manager of KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) with headquarters in Kiev.

 

During the meeting additional funding in the amount of 2 million euro for social infrastructure projects in villages and towns in Moldova has been discussed. The new project is to be launched in January 2016.

The MSIF has organized a pre-bid meeting on the kindergarten project in Calarasi town, financed by KFW

On Thursday, September 3rd, a pre-bid meeting has been held within the MSIF subproject "The construction of the kindergarten" in Calarasi town, financed from the KFW funds.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Moldova Social Investment Fund, Calarasi town hall representatives, design company representatives, representatives of construction companies, which purchased tender documents, and potential candidates for the position of technical supervisor.
